I just finished a painting for a group exhibit in September which will commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11.  It is a very difficult concept to represent and is fraught with danger of being maudlin or trite.  I began to wonder how I should do it.  I started on a couple of ideas but felt they were somewhat contrived so I took a different path and I think I did the right thing.  At this point I am pleased with the painting and will post an image once I have photographed it.

It felt good to be back at the easel again.
